A La Monte man who is facing sex-related felony charges involving a juvenile for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl earlier this year is scheduled to be in court this week.

According to a probable-cause statement, on April 24, the girl told authorities Joshua L. Opfer forced her to get in bed with him, touched her inappropriately, made her touch him inappropriately and several other deviant sexual acts.

During his interview with authorities, Opfer denied the allegations.

Court documents say Opfer is charged with a Class B sex-related felony and an Unclassified sex-related felony. Bond is set at $75,000 cash or surety.

Opfer was arraigned on May 25. A counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
