A 51-year-old Marshall man is charged with felonies after a reported incident on East Arrow Street in Marshall on Saturday, June 12.

According to a probable-cause statement, Derek A. Porter fled the scene after allegedly stabbing a person. Authorities put together a photo lineup, and Porter was identified as the suspect.

Porter is charged with a Class D Felony for Assault and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.

Porter was arraigned Wednesday, July 7. A confined-docket hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at Saline County Circuit Court.
