A 60-year-old Marshall man died in a tractor accident in Lafayette County on Wednesday, July 14.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened as a westbound Kubota, driven by Bernard “Ray” Dotson, was on a hill slope, began to slide down the hill and overturned. Dotson was ejected and the tractor came to rest on top of him.

Dotson was pronounced deceased at the scene at 4:31 p.m. by Doctor David Pulliam.

The accident happened at 3 p.m. in the 22000 block of Davis Road.
