The Bothwell Board of Trustees elected officers and welcomed a new member at its June meeting.

According to a news release, Stafford Swearingen of Sedalia was elected to his first term as board chair. He has served on the board since 2019 and was previously vice chair.

Swearingen will continue his role as the liaison to the Bothwell Foundation board. Swearingen replaces Cam Jennings, who served as chair for the past three years and remains on the board.
Deidre Esquivel was elected as board vice chair. Sedalia Mayor John Kehde was elected board secretary/treasurer. The board also welcomed a new member, Dr. Paul Bassett who is a physician at the Sedalia VA Clinic.
Other board members include Joyce Foster and Kelvin Shaw, Sedalia city administrator. Members are appointed by the mayor of Sedalia and approved by City Council.

The Bothwell Board of Trustees meets at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
