
Marshall firefighters were toned out to a blaze on Sunday, August 1.
According to a fire department spokesperson, firefighters were toned out to a blaze at 27992 Wildcat Road at 7:29 a.m. Firemen arrived on the scene seven minutes later to a house fully involved in flames.
Nobody was home at the residence.
The fire wasn’t deemed under control until 9:41 a.m., and at that time, the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate as to the cause. The fire’s cause currently remains under investigation.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 2:27 p.m.
The structure- with an estimated value of $120,000 by the fire department- was deemed a total loss.
One firefighter suffered a cut on his finger. He was treated and released at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. There were no other injuries reported from the scene.
