
Two area residents were arrested after an incident on July 30.
According to a Saline County Sheriff’s report, a deputy responded to a residence in Gilliam regarding a physical disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy could hear a female crying and yelling for a subject to get off her and to stop hurting her.
The Deputy forced entry into the residence and took a male subject into custody. Investigation revealed a domestic assault had occurred.
Multiple types of narcotics and drug paraphernalia allegedly were located in the room with the two subjects. The female subject was placed under arrest for an active warrant and possession of a controlled substance. The male subject was placed under arrest for domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance.
However, formal charges have not been filed relating to this particular incident. Per KMMO policy, the names of the persons arrested will not be released until formal charges are filed.
