With back-to-school season quickly approaching, however issues remain to deal with COVID-19 procedures.

According to Salisbury R-IV School District Superintendent, Tony Winston, school faculty and staff will continue using many cleaning practices that were implemented in the 2020-21 school year. The district will also continue to monitor positive cases and updates from the CDC and the local health department.

Superintendent Tony Winston says plans for safety reasons may alter as the year goes on.

Winston says in a letter to the school district, “I know moving into this year, the pandemic and its effects can be challenging and tiresome, but there is also some good news. The medical world knows a lot more at this point than they did in March of 2020. With that knowledge, many requirements and suggestions have changed from the CDC and our local health department.”

The first day of school for Salisbury R-IV School Distract is scheduled to start Monday, August 23.
