Marshall Mayor Julie Schwetz gave a heads up that an ordinance for a parking restriction is likely to be brought before the council during a future meeting.

Mayor Schwetz gave the details during the council meeting on Tuesday, September 7.

Mayor Schwetz further explained.

In other news, Mayor Schwetz said Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner was elected to represent city employees at Missouri LAGERS. She also made a recommendation to appoint The Reverend Mary Williams to the library board. Her appointment will need to be approved by the council at a future meeting. Mayor Schwetz also encouraged anybody who is interested to serve on the Planning and Zoning or the Tourism Commission to contact the city. She said there are vacancies on each of those commissions.

Mayor Schwetz also reported the council will hold a special-session meeting at noon on Tuesday, September 28, to wrap up the budget for this fiscal year and hopefully have the second reading for the budget for the next fiscal year.
