Marshall Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher implemented an administrative procedure that established a district-wide mask mandate that became effective on September 7.
Dr. Maher has updated the district’s COVID-19 numbers. She says Marshall Public Schools ended the week with 51 positive COVID cases, 160 quarantined and 10 waiting for results.
Dr. Maher says updates will be given Friday afternoons.
Dr. Maher says students, teachers and staff are required to practice proper mask wearing inside all MPS buildings- regardless of vaccination status.
For clarification, Dr. Maher added, “For indoor extracurricular events, masks are not required while actively participating but are required when not physically involved. For example, when sitting on the bench during a game or holding (not playing) a musical instrument..”
