A 26-year-old Higginsville woman had to be flown from the scene of a traffic crash in Lafayette County on Tuesday, September 28.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle driven by Breanna Bollinger, of Higginsville, rapidly overtook and impacted the rear of a stopped freightliner.
Officials say the freightliner, driven by 34-year-old Juan Romo, was stopped in traffic due to a backup from an earlier crash.
The 26-year-old woman was flown by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Romo had no reported injuries.
The crash happened at 10 a.m. on I-70 at the 32-mile marker.
