An area school district will be honoring service members this week with a “HOMECOMING SALUTE”.

According to the Boonville R-1 School District, at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 1- just before the Homecoming football game begins- Boonville Schools will salute distinguished BHS Alumni who graduated from United States Service Academies and present them with plaques that will hang on the new Wall of Honor in the BHS Entrance.

Administrators say: “The gesture is simple, but our gratitude to our honorees is immeasurable. Our intention is to provide a moment of recognition to former students who chose a path of sacrifice and service.”
