Missouri Valley College recorded one of its largest enrollments in the school’s history.

The college began its fall semester in August with 1,502 students enrolled. According to a press release, Missouri Valley’s student body represents 44 states/territories and 54 countries.

MVC President Dr. Bonnie Humphrey says, “We are very pleased to have in-person classes and student activities and events on campus again. We will continue to utilize mitigation strategies such as masking when indoors and to monitor our weekly positivity percentage, to help keep COVID-19 manageable on our campus.”

Missouri Valley implemented a mask mandate for all individuals while indoors on the campus.

In addition to it’s COVID-19 prevention measures, the college has testing available and introduced an incentive program to encourage students, faculty and staff to become vaccinated against COVID-19.

Officials say as of Friday, October 1, 81 percent of employees and 52 percent of students have initiated at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
