During the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, October 18, Ward 1 Councilman Leon Thompson gave an update on sales-tax money received during the month of September.

In other news, Mayor Julie Schwetz made a recommendation to fill the open council seat.

Harold Simmons resigned from the council due to personal reasons in September. If Wright is approved, she will fill the seat until the Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

In other news, Thompson reported the Board of Code Enforcement will be postponed from Wednesday, October 20, to 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17.
