A newer sewer main extension will require a street intersection in Sedalia to set some restrictions.

According to the City of Sedalia, East 16th Street at its intersection with South Monroe Avenue is scheduled to be restricted on the west side of the intersection to a single lane of traffic from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

Officials say East 16th Street will be closed to all traffic at this same location, the west side of its intersection with South Monroe.

Travelers are encouraged to find an alternate route during this period to avoid delays in their travel plans. This work is weather and equipment dependent and as such may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
