A 19-year-old Sedalia resident who has been charged with felonies in connection with a reported shooting incident on February 27, 2021, has a court proceeding scheduled.

A Sedalia Police report says officers responded to a report of shots fired at Centennial Park and found several shell casings. They were made aware that one person- 18-year-old Eabey Carlos-Gonzalez- was at Bothwell Regional Health Center being treated for a gunshot wound. An investigation revealed gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles- one of them being occupied by Carlos-Gonzalez.

According to court documents, Carlos-Gonzalez is charged with felonies for assault in the first degree or attempt, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond remains at $75,000 cash or surety.

Carlos-Gonzalez’s case was bound over to the trial division on November 16. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
