Kassandra Rae “Kassie” Schuber, age 15, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, December 17, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. John Frazier officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Born December 21, 2005, in Columbia, she was the daughter of Chuck Schuber of Marshall and Christina Cornine Swank of the home.  Kassie lived in Saline County all of her life and was currently in the sophomore class at Sweet Springs R-7 High School. She enjoyed sports and played almost every sport in school including volleyball, softball, even a year as the kicker on the football team as well as a member of the FFA chapter. Kassie was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Marshall Junction. She enjoyed fishing, horses, dogs and cats, and was just an all-around animal lover.

She is survived by her mother, Christina Swank of the home; her father, Chuck Schuber (Susan) of Marshall; two sisters, Haley and Hannah Schuber of Sweet Springs; a brother, Aiden Swank of Sweet Springs; five step-siblings who were just like her own: William Harding of Erie, KS, Cody Tucker of Springfield, and Baylie, Hondo and Cash Schuber, all of Marshall; maternal grandparents, Tim and Sandy Cornine of Marshall Junction; paternal grandmother, Virginia Schuber of Ionia; maternal great-grandparents: Hazel Cornine of Marshall, Juanita Bowen of Stockton and Norene Clark of Marshall Junction; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family, including Adam Swank and his parents, Kenny and Carol Swank.

Kassie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Kenneth F. Schuber; and maternal great-grandfathers, John Junior Cornine and George Rogers Clark.
