Eva Mae McClure, 79, of Marshall, formerly of Hughesville, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Living Center in Marshall.

She was born August 29, 1942 in Elmhurst, IL a daughter of the late Wilton Morris and Mae Victoria Hess Wilkie. On July 25, 1963 in Sedalia, she married John Das McClure, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2006.

Eva graduated from LPN School in 1988 in Boonville. She worked for years in several restaurants as a cook, including Lazy Days at Marshall Junction. She loved animals, especially furry rodents, and loved to cook. The children and Eva raised cattle and rode horses together. She was a strong believer of home schooling and private Christian Schools. Eva was a longtime volunteer at Powell Gardens.

She is survived by two sons, John Das McClure II of Springfield, MO and Kyle D. McClure of Marshall; two daughters, Sheila Cornish of Knob Noster and Crystal McClure of Georgia; a sister, Alice Williams of Texarkana, TX; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Byron D. McClure; three brothers, William, George and Robert J. “Bob” Wilkie; and a sister, Mary Louise Wilkie, who died in infancy.

Per her wishes, no services will be held.
