The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of KMMO listening area, beginning at 10 o’clock tonight (Wednesday, January 5).
According to Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, snow is expected with total accumulations of up to two inches, in portions of east central and northeast Kansas and central and west central Missouri. The advisory includes Johnson and Pettis Counties in the KMMO listening area.
Officials say motorists should plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility due to blowing snow. The hazardous conditions could impact driver’s Thursday morning commute.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday, January 6.
