
The Lafayette County Health Center’s COVID-19 related deaths near triple digits.
According to the health center there have been 6 additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the county’s total to 96 since the beginning of the pandemic.
As Monday, January 24, there were 108 active cases – as compared to 118 the week prior. There are 25 individuals hospitalized due to the virus in the county.
Health officials say since January 18, Higginsville and Odessa each had 23 individuals testing positive, followed by Concordia with 10. Lexington reported nine positive cases. Other cities in the county reported less than five cases each.
These numbers do not include positive rapid antigen results and/or positive at-home test results, as they are not considered diagnostic by the CDC.
