
Firefighters responded a blaze in Pettis County on Wednesday, January 26.
According to a spokesperson from the Sedalia Fire Department, crews were toned out to a call at approximately 9:10 a.m. in regards to a residential fire on East 7th Street.
Officials say the fire was controlled by 11:21 a.m. However, one dog and one cat perished during the incident – another dog was stable when crews cleared the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
