Progress on several projects was given by Marshall Public Schools’ Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz during the school board meeting this week.

Lorenz reported all five trailers have been moved, and demolition of the old funeral home has started near Bueker Middle School.

Lorenz was asked about the time line for completion of the demolition of the former Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home.

Dr. Lorenz said BMS gym lights have been replaced with LEDs, and the HVAC unit over the auditorium is being replaced.

During the demolition of the buildings on the campus formerly known as the Marshall Habilitation Center, Dr. Lorenz said some damage was done to the roof of the dietary building. Remco is in the process of repairing the damage.

Dr. Lorenz also noted the district will begin bid processing for repairs of the elevator at Spainhower.
