The last day to register to vote for the April 5, 2022 General Municipal Election is approaching soon.

Johnson County Clerk Diane Thompson reminds county residents the deadline to register to vote for the election is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 .

According to a news release, if residents have moved from another Missouri County or have moved from another state, the resident will need to register with Johnson County prior to the deadline. Voters moving from one county to another within Missouri are considered a “new registrant”, not an address change.

Mail-in registration cards must also be postmarked by Wednesday, March 9 to be valid. Mail-in cards may be used for initial registration, transfer, change of address and name changes.

Mail-in locations include the post offices in Chilhowee, Kingsville and Centerview; the Bank of Holden (drive-thru), F & C Bank, Holden City Hall, and Trails Regional Library in Holden;  Pittsville PDQ in Pittsville; City Hall, the  post office, and Trails Regional Library in Knob Noster; and Leeton City Hall, Casey’s, the Public Library, and Sunflower Bank in Leeton.

Individuals can visit the Johnson County Courthouse and Voter Registration Office in Warrensburg for in-person registration.
