
During the Slater City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 15, the council discussed upcoming events, acceptable trash pick-up items and an action item regarding a real-estate agreement.
According to Assistant City Administrator Gene Griffith, spring cleaning may be in area resident’s to-do list; the council wants to remind residents about trash pick-up guidelines.
The council also authorized the Mayor to sign a development agreement that allow a resident to build a house on a city lot. Griffith explained how the process works.

In other news, the city’s rabies clinic is scheduled to be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Slater Youth Center located at 164 West Front Street.
