
One of two New Jersey residents charged with drug-related felonies after authorities say they located a cache of drugs in a vehicle following a traffic stop on I-70 in Saline County on March 7 is due in court.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, after a canine alerted to narcotics, troopers say they located 74 bags of marijuana, 100 THC vape cartridges, one kilogram of heroin, two bags of marijuana weighing more than 1,000 grams in a suitcase and other drug-related items. Arrested were Anthony Joal Baez, of Harrison, and Stanley Anthony Reece II, of Newark.
Court documents say each subject is charged with felonies for trafficking drugs in the first degree, delivery of a controlled substance and delivery of marijuana. Bond for each subject remains at $150,000 cash only.
A confined docket hearing is scheduled for Baez at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23. Each suspect is due for a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Saline County Circuit Court.
