If you want to throw your name in the hat for Johnson County Presiding Commissioner, you still have time to do so.

According to a release from the Johnson County Clerk’s Office, notice is hereby given that due to the withdrawal of a candidate for Presiding County Commissioner within two working days prior to the deadline for the close of filing set forth for the August 2 Primary Election, the candidate filing period for that position shall reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, and last until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 8- pursuant to RSMo 115.361.

Filing will take place in the county clerk’s office at the Johnson County Courthouse at 300 North Holden in Warrensburg. The order of the ballot will be based on the date and time of each candidate’s filing.
