A Sedalia man has been charged with felonies after allegedly robbing another person more than two month ago.

According to a Pettis County Sheriff’s report, deputies were dispatched in reference to a 9-1-1- hang up on January 21. The caller told dispatch he needed help and was in danger.

Once deputies were on the scene, the man told them he had just been robbed by a male with a butterfly knife. He said the suspect got away with $60 to $80 and a phone charger. He gave a description of the alleged robber to the deputies, who identified the suspect as Dayton Wayne Foster. The alleged victim also identified Foster in a photo lineup.

Foster was located buried under a pile of laundry in a residence where he frequented. Checking the immediate area, deputies say they located a measurable amount of methamphetamine and some marijuana.

Court documents say Foster is charged with felonies for robbery in the first degree; armed criminal action; and possession of a controlled substance. Bond is fixed at $25,000 cash or surety.

Foster’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
