An area law-enforcement agency is asking for help from the public in locating a man with an active warrant.

According to the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit, 23-year-old Ezra Cowan is wanted for probation violation: weapon offense. Cowan is described as white and about 5-foot-8 and 148 pounds.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Cowan is urged to contact the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit; or, if outside of Sedalia, contact your local law-enforcement agency. You can remain anonymous.

Authorities say you should not take any police action yourself.
