A Warrensburg man has been charged with multiple felonies after a reported incident on March 18.

According to a probable-cause statement, Jacob Lee Williams is alleged to have struck a woman in the face, head, neck and back with a crow bar; pinned the woman down by lying on her and bit her in the middle of her back. Williams also is said to have burned the woman’s clothes because they were blood stained and threatened to kill her.

Authorities say the woman sustained two black eyes, a laceration over her right eye and bruising on her upper and middle back, neck, arms and thighs.

According to court documents, Williams is charged with felonies for armed criminal action, domestic assault in the second degree, kidnapping in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with physical evidence in a prosecution. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

Williams was arraigned and pleaded not guilty on April 1. His next hearing is pending at Johnson County Circuit Court.
