A 63-year-old Sedalia man died in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Thursday, April 7.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by Victor Yuzkov, attempted to cross northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 65 and pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by 77-year-old Sharon McDonald, of Raytown. After impact, Yuzkov’s vehicle rolled over into the median and came to rest on its top. McDonald’s vehicle came to rest in the median.

Yuzkov, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Pettis County Assistant Coroner Brian Morley. McDonald and a passenger in her vehicle- 69-year-old Karen Hull, of Raymore- were transported by ambulances to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash happened at 3:43 p.m. on U.S. Highway 65 at Anderson School Road.
