The Saline County Fair Association is planning on having a regular extravaganza this year.

During the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, April 14, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. explained the fair association has requested use of the courthouse grounds.

Guthrey said plans are for the Saline County Fair Association to host a talent show and queen contest. Seating will be available on the courthouse lawn for all entertainment.

Drive-thru meals also will be available in Marshall, Slater and Sweet Springs.

Commissioners granted permission for the Saline County Fair Association to use the courthouse lawn from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.
