A Marshall man has been charged with multiple felonies after a woman’s car and purse were stolen on April 19.

According to a probable cause statement, officers from the Saline County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a Marshall residence where a woman alleged that David Cameron Fizer entered her home and took her purse and car keys. Fizer left the residence and drove off in the woman’s car before officers arrived. Officers noted redness and slight bruising on the woman’s right wrist, which was said to have come from the strap of the purse. Fizer allegedly took the woman’s car keys, house key, mail box key, purse and wallet which contained her ID and $38.

Authorities arrested Fizer in Marshall. Fizer had a glass pipe with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine on him at the time of the arrest. The woman’s car was located nearby, with several of the stolen items in it.

Court documents say that Fizer is charged with felonies for second-degree robbery, burglary in the first degree, first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

Fizer has a confined docket hearing scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Saline County Circuit Court.
