Frankie G. Roberts, age 79, of Marshall, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Per her request, no services will be held.  Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born November 10, 1942 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank Byers and Macey Womack Byers.  On October 1, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma, she married Max K. Roberts, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2019.

She is survived by a son, John Roberts of Marshall; a granddaughter, Robyn Roberts; a brother, John Byers of San Antonio, Texas; and two sisters, Joyce Rice and Janice Walker, both of Norman, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Roberts was a 1960 graduate of Slater High School, and a U.S. Navy veteran.  She worked for a number of years for the Omaha World Herald Newspaper, and also taught in various high schools and colleges.
