Powerhouse Community Development, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, has announced the Summer Meal plan for Saline County for individuals 18 and under.

There will be several pickup locations throughout the county on weekdays from June 1 through August 31:
In Marshall-
11:30 a.m. to noon- Deer Creek Apartments, Pinewood Circle (formerly Vest Circle), Handy Chapel Community Center, the YMCA and the C.L. Stephenson Building; and
12:15 to 12:45 p.m.- Mallory Place, Birchwood Circle (formerly West High Circle) and Maplewood Circle (formerly West College Circle).

In Slater
11:30 a.m. to noon- the Slater Community Building;
12:15 to 12:45 p.m.- Slater Parks and Recreation; and
1 to 1:30 p.m.- The Slater Housing Authority.

According to a flyer, eligible disabled Saline County residents over the age of 18 also can pick up meals during these times. Eligible disabled individuals over 18 are those individuals who are determined by a state educational agency or a local public educational agency of the state to be mentally or physically handicapped or participate in a public or nonprofit private school program established for the mentally or physically handicapped.
