Jeff Chitwood, of Gerding, Korte and Chitwood, presented an explanation of the city’s audit during the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, June 6.

Chitwood explained the opinion of the auditors.

Chitwood said there were no significant weaknesses.

Chitwood said auditors do have some concerns.

In other news, Mayor Dewey Hendrix announced the appointment of Aimee Klinge as the city’s finance director; and the council approved the appointment of Paige Simpson to be the city treasurer, which is not a full-time position.
