With the Arabia Steamboat Museum looking to move to St. Charles, the Marshall Junction Project is going to be moving in a different direction.
Bill Stouffer said the plan was to move the museum to the Marshall Junction, but things began to change in January.
During an open discussion meeting on Wednesday, June 8, members of the Mid-Missouri region met to discuss ideas for a new project at the Marshall Junction. PGAV CEO Mike Konzen says the possibilities at the junction are exciting.
Konzen gathered input from the meeting by collecting ideas about several different topics, including compelling stories in the Mid-Missouri region, National appeal in the area, and emotion connections that can resonate with audiences. The goal is to come up with an attraction to promote tourism in the area.
PGAV conducted the Arabia Steamboat Museum feasiblilty study for Saline County in January 2021. The next steps in the Marshall Junction Project will be discussed in future meetings.
