Bond is set at six figures for a Lexington man who is facing felony charges for allegedly possessing child pornography files.

According to a probable-cause statement, on June 11, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators were conducting an online child pornography distribution investigation and downloaded files of child pornography from an IP Address traced to Christopher Clark Scogin Sr.

According to court documents, Scogin is charged with a felony for promoting child pornography in the first degree and four counts of a felony for possession of child pornography.

Scogin pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing on July 22. A motion hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 27. Another hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
