The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works considered bids for utility beds for two new replacement trucks.
Bids opened on July 13. Underground Facilities Director Grant Piper recommended the $13,849.44 bid from Knapheide in Jefferson City.
The board approved the bid. The delivery time is estimated to take between 10 to 14 weeks.
In other news, the board accepted a $44,175 change order for the jack hammering of approximately 14 to 18 inches of solidified media from two filters in the water treatment facility. The original bid included conventional removal and did not include removing solidified media. The total cost of the project is now $102,725.
