Evergy Missouri Metro has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment clause (FAC) charge on the bills of its electric customers.

Evergy Missouri Metro made two filings. In its first filing (Case No. ER-2023-0030), Evergy Missouri Metro proposes to adjust the FAC to reflect fuel and purchased power costs, net of off-system sales revenues incurred by the Company from January through June. The second case is Evergy Missouri Metro’s true-up filing (Case No. EO-2023-0029).

According to the filings, a residential customer using 1,000 kWh a month will see the monthly FAC charge increase by approximately $0.17 a month, from a current bill credit of approximately $3.66 a month to a bill credit of approximately $3.49 a month. Evergy Missouri Metro proposes the change take effect on October 1, 2022.

Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than August 16, 2022, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov .

Individual citizens wishing to comment should call the Office of the Public Counsel at (866) 922-2959 or the Public Service Commission Staff at 1-800-392-4211.
