The Marshall City Council met on Tuesday night September 7. In a resolution brought up, tipper bar lifters with mounting brackets for the trash trucks were discussed. The tipper bar lifters and mounting brackets would be two per truck and would pick up the new trash containers.

The city council discussed the need for the trucks and tipper bar lifters to alleviate the pressure from difficulty in hiring CDL drivers and to cut back on injuries of employees.

A total of six tipper bars are scheduled to be purchased. A bid was accepted from Armor Equipment for the tippers at a cost of $26,571.00

The council also discussed the plan is to start with two trucks for half the city with the current trucks taking care of the rest of the city.

The council approved the measure with five yes votes and three no votes.
