A 24-year-old Marshall man facing multiple felony charges for alleged possession of child pornography has a court proceeding scheduled.

A probable-cause statement says on August 25, 2021, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a report from Dropbox Inc. that generated a Cybertip, which was assigned to the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force (WMCCTF).

Tracing the username and IP address, Darius A. Olvera lived at the residence on Watermill Road. Searching Olvera’s cell phone and iCloud account, authorities say they located multiple images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

Court documents say Olvera is charged with five counts of a felony for possession of child pornography- second or subsequent offense or possession of 20 or more pictures or one film or videotape. Olvera posted $50,000 cash bond on July 5.

Olvera’s arraignment is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, September 12, at Saline County Circuit Court.
