The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen considered a motion to give the Sweet Springs Restoration Foundation $75,000 for economic development.

According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, Tara Brewer stated that Restoration Foundation has a business that wants to come to Sweet Springs, however they need funds to get the building ready for that business. After some discussion, Alderman John Clevenger made a motion to give the Sweet Springs Restoration Foundation $75,000 for the buildings. Alderman Trey Schleicher seconded the motion. The motion passed with a 2-2 vote, with Mayor Franny Vaught breaking a tie with a yes.

In other news from the meeting, the board passed a motion to allow the Ducks Unlimited Chapter to have a turkey/trap shoot in the park from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. October 23.
