A Kansas City man was charged with felonies in Saline County after an incident on Sunday, October 9.

According to a probable cause statement, James Cornine Jr. allegedly attempted to break into a residence in Marshall. Cornine reportedly smashed through a window in the residence, causing the broken glass to injure two victims next to the window. Both victims had cuts on their bodies.

According to a statement from the victims, Cornine was asked to leave the residence earlier in the day after a disagreement. Cornine would return to the residence periodically before he eventually smashed through the window.

Court documents say Cornine is charged with felonies for attempted burglary in the first degree and domestic assault in the fourth degree. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only.

Cornine is due for an initial appearance at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 12 at Saline County Circuit Court.
