A Kansas City 25-year-old Kansas City woman has been charged with two felonies in Lafayette County.

According to a probable cause statement, an officer pulled over Keilahta Fisher-Royston for allegedly speeding in Lexington.

When the officer approached the vehicle Fisher-Royston proceeded to drive off. The vehicle turned on to North Highway 13. Fisher-Royston’s vehicle then proceeded to reach a speed of up to 100 miles per hour with the officer in pursuit. The officer terminated the pursuit when Fisher-Royston approached Highway 210 in Richmond. Ray County Sheriff Deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued the pursuit.

The officer ran the plates of the vehicle and was informed by dispatch that Fisher-Royston had just been released from the Lafayette County Jail and that her driving status had been revoked. Fisher-Royston came to a stop in Clay County and was apprehended.

According to court documents, Fisher-Royston was charged with a felony for resisting arrest and driving while revoked. Fisher-Royston posted $15,000 personal recognizance bond.

A hearing was held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
