The Sedalia City Council approved a resolution to authorize the submission of a grant application for the replacement of deteriorated sidewalks in North Central Sedalia during its meeting on Monday, November 7.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw said the grant the city is applying for is from the Missouri Department of Economic Development Community Revitalization Program, and requires a 50 percent match of $767,760.

Shaw said the grant would allow the city to replace deteriorated sidewalks in north central Sedalia.

The council approved the resolution.

In other news from the meeting, the council appointed Rhonda Ahern to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Ahern was appointed after Greg Nehring resigned. Ahern is completing Nehring’s term, which ends in June 2023.
