The Carrollton Town Council approved ordinances creating an Airport Board and the purchase of security cameras for City Hall and other city departments at its meeting on Monday, November 21, 2022.

The Airport Board was dissolved many years ago according to Mayor Frank Olvera due to minimal use. Olvera stated that with more agricultural use now being done at the Carrollton Airport, there was a need to appoint a board to oversee the airport. The five members appointed to the board were Roger Kaiser, Jim Francis, Larue Hawkins, David Heddings and Bobby Turner.

In other news from the meeting, the council approved an agreement with Martin Security Systems, LLC for the purpose of installing security cameras at City Hall and other city departments.
