Mary E. Younger, age 95, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Witcher Family Cemetery at Marshall Junction. Born March 27, 1927, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Joel Scott and Mary Hutcherson Scott. She attended Fair Play Elementary School, Marshall High School and graduated from Missouri Valley College in Marshall in 1948. She married Robert J. Younger in 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2006. They lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and Bakersfield, California, before settling in Dayton, Ohio. She was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base where she retired in 1993.  She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Marshall Junction.

Survivors include two siblings, Marjorie Young of Jefferson City, Missouri and Milton Scott of Troy, Ohio; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Younger, born July 14, 1958 and died July 15, 1958.
