Thelma L. Kelly, 95, of Blackburn, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. There will be no visitation but friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Born September 21, 1927, in Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late Herbert William “Hub” Guthrie and Georgiann Hayes Guthrie. She lived in Blackburn her entire life and on May 12, 1960, in Independence, MO, she married Eugene Kelly who survives of the home. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and caring for her family. She was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene; one son, Eugene “Gene” Kelly Jr. of Overland Park, KS; one daughter, Donna A. Guthrie of Lexington, MO; one granddaughter, Michaela L. Payne (Shawn); one grandson, Ryan Eugene Kelly; four great-grandchildren, Danielle A. Payne, Shawn M. Guthrie, Brittany H. Guthrie and Marcus G. Payne; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by one son, Ronald W. Guthrie; three brothers, J.R. Guthrie, George E. Guthrie and Herbert Guthrie; and one sister, Gladys Webb.
