The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works elected new officers for 2023 during its meeting on Thursday, January 12.
The board elected a president, vice president, and secretary for the new year. The board decided to follow the rotation that has been established over the past several years.
Steve Mills was elected as president, Spencer Fricke as vice president, and Chuck Hines was elected as secretary.
In other news from the meeting, the board accepted a proposal from SMI-CO Contracting Group, LLC to replace 5 filter influent valves and actuators for $105,600. The current filter influent valve is leaking and will no longer completely seal. The valves are allowing water to continue to flow into the filters.
