A Memphis, Missouri man was charged with multiple felonies in Pettis County on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

According to a Sedalia Police report, officers were dispatched to Dugan’s Paint at 3103 Erika Avenue in Sedalia at approximately 3:11 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 due to an alarm. Officers located a broken window on the north side of the property.

During a search, a drone located a subject walking between houses a block to the east of the business. The subject attempted to allude the drone but was taken into custody south of West 32 Street and east of South Park Avenue with help from Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies. Through investigation, officers were able to determine that the subject identified as Chanyel Crow had allegedly smashed the glass and entered the business through the broken window. Officers were able to link Crow to the alleged burglary at Dugan’s Paint.

Crow was found to have an active warrant from Jackson County and allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia as well as two black powder explosive devices.

According to court documents, Crow was charged with felonies for burglary, unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repair or sale of an illegal weapon and property damage.

Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Crow was scheduled for arraignment at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
