
Kimberly Lynn Yelton Haesemeier, 43, of Concordia, MO, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Born January 1, 1980, in California, MO, she was the daughter of the late Steven Rex Yelton and Nora L. Dutcher Yelton who survives of California, MO. Kim was a 1998 graduate of California High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in music, from Southwest Missouri State University, now called Missouri State University. She had a great love for music throughout her life and was an excellent vocalist. On November 7, 2009, she married David Matthew Haesemeier who survives of the home. Kim moved to Concordia in 2009, and worked as an account executive at the Robert E. Miller Insurance Agency in Kansas City. Kim and Dave welcomed their daughter, Emerson, into the world and after that, Kim’s life revolved around being a mom, a role that she adored. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma.
Kim is survived by her husband, David Haesemeier, and their daughter, Emerson Rae Haesemeier, both of the home; her mother, Nora L. Dutcher Yelton of California; her sister, Kristen Allred (Shelby) of Kansas City; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Colleen Haesemeier of rural Sweet Springs; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Boynton of Vero Beach, FL; nieces and nephews: Keya Eden Allred, and Harrison, Jackson and Bonnie Boynton; an uncle, Darryl Dutcher (Tawna) of rural High Point, MO; an aunt, Ruth Haesemeier of rural Sweet Springs; as well as other extended family and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Rex Yelton; her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Naomi Dutcher; and her paternal grandparents, Donald Rex Yelton and Janet Louise and Edward Callahan.
